European Adventure Day 22: Lake Balaton, Hungary

Up early to catch the tram then the train to Siofok which is on the banks of Lake Balaton. Lost count of the stations and got off too soon (not all stations are clearly marked). Walked along the promenade and found a nice place to sit. Very warm and sunny.

Mr Scottie5 was soon in swimming, or trying to - the lake is very shallow until you get quite far out. Apparently it was warm. There were a few boats and lots of families in the water.

This lovely lady took a while to acclimatise herself to the temperature but did go in (which was more than me!), all the while wearing her hat.

We walked right along to the next train station and returned just as the torrential rain started.
