The Golden Bowl ?
Apollo, the sun god, was a charioteer who drove his fiery vehicle through the heavens by day. At night he floated across the sky in a GOLDEN BOWL, then mounted his chariot again in the morning. Many cultures have myths and legends about the sun which they worshipped, the Incas being one of the most well known. The Navajo Native Americans portray their sun god as a worker named Johonaa'ei, the sun bearer. Every day he laboriously hauls the sun across the sky on his back and at night, he hangs it from a peg on the wall and rests. The Japanese Imperial family were believed to have descended from the sun god. My picture was the only bit of colour in the sky today and it didn't last very long. Maybe Apollo's chariot is in for it's M.O.T and the worker had a lay in with a bad back !!
