As you've mostly likely read fires are raging in the Var at the moment and it is just awful.
People evacuated and homes lost.
My heart goes out to them and bravo to our amazing firemen and woman who do such a bloody amazing job. 

In happier news...we managed to entice the mother into the pool - fairly easy as it's about 35c at the mo.

Mustn't let it spoil her longed-for few days of relaxation...
