One Perfect Bloom

Late July is a fine time indeed to visit the Arboretum. The place is chock full of gorgeous blooms, and buzzing with pollinators of every sort. The lily pond is a favorite, of course, and the water lilies are attracting dragons and damsels these days.

But I also enjoyed photographing the flowers, including the one above, which reminded me of a fancy southern belle in her ball gown. I looked for flaws but could not find them. Could it be: one perfect bloom?
