Hollyhock

Despite being classified as a biennial this one has been coming back every year for about six years. 

I'm no flower arranger but my friend Helen was having several of us round for an end of term mum's lunch and as the garden had so much to offer I put together a small bouquet which I was really rather pleased with. But, as it took so long to do I forgot to take a pic before rushing out to get to Helen's house in time. I only realised when I'd walked half way there that I had a load of sap stains all over my jeans: not a good look. But lunch was lovely and it was great to catch up with everyone before we all went our separate ways for the summer holidays.
