Mr & Mrs Robert the Bruce (aka Ed & Sandra

Consider this my attempt to out-surreal Jezzebela on the streets of Edinburgh :)

This charming couple was ambling down the Royal Mile this afternoon, probably being stopped at every other step by nosey photographers like myself. They said this was a dress-rehearsal run for tomorrow's March for Independence. I was dead impressed by the chap's armour. None of that fake wool painted grey stuff: he was wearing real chain mail. But apparently not all the armour available at his disposal, as that would have been a really hard slog. They confirmed my observation that he looked like Robert the Bruce, so my Scottish history is not a total blank.
