2017 Sunday -- 16th St. Beach Access
I realize this photo won't make sense to anyone other than me, but it is the "Public Access" sitting area and stairs down to the beach at 16th Street which is just a block away from the Whale Rock Terrace Seniors Mobile Home Park, where our dear friends Al & June have a mobile home. Al passed away last September.
We have just learned that a couple weekends ago, Al's family was here in Cayucos and scattered his ashes on the sand at 16th Street.
June told us that when Al had reached the point that he could no longer go down the stairs, he would go sit on the bench at 16th Street just to watch and listen to the waves, so that is why they selected the 16th Street shoreline.
So today was fairly foggy and very gray and definitely a bit chilly, so Mr. Fun stayed in the car because he hasn't been feeling well and I got out to see the area and take a couple photos because we had never seen the 16th Street access before.
