Humble snowdrop.....
.......its white, nodding blooms appear in late winter, signalling spring around the corner.
Lovely to wander through my garden with a cuppa in hand. I see signs of spring just round the corner with camellia's bursting into flower, magnolia's in bud and hellebores looking shy. But the best surprise was seeing two snowdrops in flower with other's breaking the ground, this one is Galanthus elwesii. Last year I planted four varities which did nothing, I really thought they had all died, so you can imagine my delight to see some in bloom.
We arrived home late yesterday, today has been unpacking and lots of washing. The air is crisp and so much cooler than the North Island, looks like we're home just before another cold blast comes through tomorrow.
There will be backblips to come, many in fact but for now thank you for following our holiday, your star's, fav's and words were a delight to read and very much appreciated.
To our family and friends, thank you for making our trip so special. We've enjoyed many laughs as we've gone back to our student days and caught up on family news. Good times.....times to savour and hold close, thank you :)
Wednesday......a frosty start - brrr, but bright and sunny with a light breeze until cloud rolled in this afternoon.
Happy Wednesday everyone :)
