Very straightforward journey to Cagliari and quick transfer to our apartment in town. Unpacked then out for a wander...this was such a last minute trip I know nothing about the place or what there will be to do and see. We found the old castle, university and cathedral areas with great views across terracotta roofs to the marina and sea, and some browsable shops, had lovely drinks and cicheti at a bar whilst we watched the world go by, then browsed the restaurants before choosing a great place and had seafood pasta. by the time we left the place was heaving and the food was delicious. Home, tired out but happy!
