Quod oculus meus videt

Gazania sp

The gazanias, recently potted up, are now beginning to come into flower in the garden.  We were really late planting out this summer (i.e. in the last week or so), but already they are catching up fast.  I used to be an avid gardener (one more thing that waned as life became busier).  I'd read somewhere that planting out summer bedding at the end of May didn't necessarily guarantee the best show, and that bedding planted out later often caught up and surpassed them.  They also lasted longer into the autun.  As we seem to be having later and later periods of good weather in the year, we shall have to wait and see.
