Reluctance

With Minty away to doggy day care, and Lulabel off to take possession of some furniture for her flat, Mabel and I kept each other company at home. There may have been some snoozing.

When it came time for a walk in the afternoon, Mabel dug her heels paws in and refused to come with me. Lazy lump! I left her on guard duty and walked to the village to collect a new book I'd requested from the library.

My usual problem at this time of year - reacting to insect bites with itchy weeping blisters - has reared its ugly head again. The only thing the antihistamine pills seem to do is make me sleepy... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
