The gardeners bothy

On our way home from Shrewsbury we stopped off at a National trust property Attingham Park which is a splendid house & grounds in Shropshire.

We spent a couple of hours there walking around the house and the walled kitchen garden which covers 2 acres & was full of organically grown veg which is used in the cafe & restaurant.

There were some lovely brown pigs rooting about in their pen but they wouldn't pose for me so a lot of blips of piggy rear ends & curly tails.

There was also a white latticed front bee house , which was built in 1805 & is a listed building, complete with woven straw skeps but we couldn't get too close because of the bees.

This is a blip of a corner of the garden where the cut flowerrs are grown in the background is the bothy which is a cottage where the garden labourers lived & worked.
