Horsey, Horsey

I was on Nanny duty with Violet today while Rach was at work and Scarlett was at pre-school.  We all went to Sainsbury's for breakfast and then Rach dropped Scarlett off and went to work, while Violet and I went to M&S and then I took her to the Soft Play at David Lloyd.  

She enjoyed playing, and then had her lunch there before heading home for her nap.  Alan and I bought her this little rocking horse for Christmas, and when we went up to her bedroom she wanted to have a ride on it before going to bed.  She slept for about an hour and then we played in the garden and on the trampoline - it's great being a Nanny and having an excuse to do these things :-)

Rachel got home at 2.30pm and I left to pick up Alan's mum and dad and have brought them back to Brighton for a week.  We left at 3pm and the traffic was horrendous, it took 2 hours to get to the M6 Toll road and then we hit more delays on the M42.  We ended up stopping at Oxford Services as I needed a break, so we had something to eat and got back on the road about 7pm.  The second leg of the journey was great and there were no delays at all, even the M25 was clear and we arrived home at 9pm.
