Following Turner
We did Ewenny & Spring Flowers Walk (Walk 10) of Vale Trail walks provided by Vale of Glamorgan council. It starts at St Brides Major to Corntown and Ewenny. We did the extra loop to Ewenny Priory so it totalled about 9 miles.
The blipfoto is of the interior of Ewenny Priory. The priory was founded in 1141 by Maurice de Londres as a cell of the Benedictine abbey of Gloucester (now the Cathedral). It was painted by the artist JMW Turner in 1797 when he was 22yrs. This is his painting. The blip is my photo of the same scene. I was wondering why I wasn't getting the same dimensions and reading the link explains why!
After the walk we enjoyed a cuppa at the brilliant Nash Point cafe overlooking the Bristol Channel before heading to Bridgend Outlet Centre where I eventualy bought a suit for the weekend. We got home just after 7pm - a long day but an enjoyabe walk in nice sunshine.
