The Hay Wain

I was to meet my chums at 1900 at Suffolk Yacht Harbour. Impossible time! Friday evening on the day that the schools break up. So I decided to leave early form home (1130 as it turned out) and call in at Flatford Mill en route. I's very near Ipswich s only a very minor diversion. I spent an hour there. There is a nice tea room (ice cream and a glass of lemonade) and strolled round along the banks of the Stour. Deffo Constable country. This view is still recognisable from 1821.
