Nostalgia

Dennis has bought a refurbished 2CV. Ours went to rust heaven in the mid-1980s. I loved it. It had central locking - the driver could reach every door! We took the 3 kids to France in ours, several times - from Northumberland, camping. I don't know how we got everything in, but they had to sit on a few layers of towels, and stuff got packed in the engine compartment. The bedding was tied on in a roll of polythene on the roof. Happy days!

As you see, the sun appeared briefly, and we did get a good walk up to Simonside - my arthritic foot is very painful so I'll remember to dose up on painkillers for a walk tomorrow.
