Old rockers don't die

..they just land up playing on Winchester High Street.

This guy plays a lot in the precinct.  He’s well amplified and he’s good, and particularly now his friend has joined him he draws the crowds.  Small children, in particular, find the performances irresistible.

So here he/they are playing to High Street shoppers and small fans from under St Maurice’s Covert, keeping out of the rain.  I took pictures as I was ambling down from the library, after I’d been looking at your journals (and very nice they were too!).  So that was yesterday.  So far today it’s raining as well.

In other news, the gas contractors are currently hopping in and out of the house and everywhere smells noxious.  They will be finished here soon though and moving on to others.  Then they’ll be back on Thursday.  It is a huge operation and there are that many holes dug, everywhere round here looks like a war zone.
