Mews
A tiny wee house squeezed into this street lol. Looks cute tho!
Day off today as I am supposed to be heading to London, however I went to check my ticket online today and discovered that as I had booked with a "saved" journey - it had booked my ticket with a young persons rail card... hmmm Im no longer a young person. This led a to an awkward conversation with East Coast - yeah ok I am in charge of my booking but if on their software they offered a very simple option of putting in your rail card number and expiry date, it could remind you to renew just before you click the confirm and payment button. Instead they want to charge me another £100 to head to London. The man on the phone offered me a "good will gesture" of buying a new ticket at £120 then I could call him back and he would refund me for the £40 ticket with the young person's railcard on it minus a £10 booking fee... eh no mate thats the normal policy, not good will and still no. This convenience of not being responsible for rail cards and making an extra £90 for a basic and honest mistake because I booked with their "saved" journey service on a rail card which expired 2 months ago. Scam I say.
Didn't end up going to London, but I would have wasted more money there this week. Later on that day I got some news which meant I was glad I didn't go. Staying at home seems to be the key for this week!
