Admirable
It was a good afternoon for butterflies even though it was overcast and somewhat humid.
This red admiral (admirable) sitting on a bramble leaf was a perfect specimen that looked band-box fresh, probably new hatched. It was in no hurry to move and allowed me to capture it from different angles.
I also saw and attempted to photograph: speckled wood, gatekeeper and/or meadow brown, a small copper glowing like a cinder among the grass and this gorgeous common blue (extra) looking like a flake of cloudless sky.
However I realise I need a better camera to take pictures of butterflies.
