Sweetcorn

We were walking with a friend along the coastal footpath and had forgotten that the farmer had planted corn rather than the potato crop of last year. The corn was towering above us on one side obscuring the usual inland view.  I do love the 'wild hair' look of the fruit as they are ripening.

A day of mixed weather and although we had some rain we managed to avoid the worst deluges when we were having tea in a local cafe.
