Day 3
Plymouth to Exeter
Beautiful day's cycling from Plymouth to Exeter via Dartmoor. 4000ft of climbing in 48 miles. Dartmoor was everything I wished for, bleak and stunning. Ponies and sheep on the roadside and occasionally in the road. Mr PB took this pic of me and I love the moors and road in the background.
We had a huge breakfast in Plymouth in a trendy cafe, then lunch in a cyclist friendly cafe in Princetown which is the nearest settlement to Dartmoor prison. A very imposing but beautiful building on the moor. I suppose this place is quite desolate in the winter. We had tea in a village with the longest name - Mortonhampstead
The weather has been good with only a tiny shower whilst we were in the cafe.
Now ensconced in a very posh hotel That Mr PB booked for a bargain price. dinner ordered in a restaurant on the quayside. Yum yum
Mileage so far 154
