Local goodies

After more rain overnight, again we have escaped it today, so far......this morning was lovely, bright and breezy, perfect for a walk to the paper shop, followed by a couple of miles saunter to the little farm shop, as you can see here in todays blip......where we get our fresh eggs, veggies and sometimes flowers. Today it was eggs, red, white and sprin onions, cucumber ( as hub gave two of ours away not realising we didnt have any left in the fridge, so we had to buy one, until the next couple are ready for picking!)

Theis little shop is very popular, despite its ramshackled appearance. They also have a golf driving range and fishing lakes, which gives them additional income, over and above their farm and livestock.

Hubs foot has been giving him a bit of stick this weekend, but he wont give in to it! We have already done best part of 10,000 steps today, so not bad considering!

Think its going to be prawn linguine for dinner this evening, hubs jus picked some nice fresh tomatoes for my sauce, with chilli, garlic and anchovies.........we are watching the golf in between doing other things! I was hoovering the car, hub was doing emails, somewatering outside.....a leisurely Sunday :-)
