The Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary, Ramah, NM

The Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary is a centre that takes wolves (and foxes) that have been bought by misguided people as pets and then realise that what they actually have is a huge wild animal.
Please take a look using the link above - they do fabulous work.

They have a scheme for photographers which allow you to actually go into the enclosures with selected wolves so that they can be photographed in a more natural setting and also for a little interaction - you can see me in the centre of the montage being thoroughly kissed by a very large and heavy wolf - I am 5'2" so you can see how big he is!!!! (the photo was taken by one of the other members of staff)

The two wolves on the left of the montage are investigating the log that I had been sitting on a few minutes earlier - obviously I smell quite interesting - lol.

If you are in the area it is a very worthwhile place to visit - all monies go toward the rescue centre
