Query at the ferry

We took the catamaran ferry round the harbour of Rotterdam as tourists for sightseeing and my friend enjoyed that lots as we sailed along docks and ships. Other passengers departed at the several stations we harboured at to continue their journeys by bike; we left again where we harboured an hour earlier and took to the beach of Hoek van Holland for another seashore time.
Altho' I stood close to them I couldn't hear a word of their discussion as the ferry's motor was roaring.
