A Spitfire in the attic!

A lot of today has been a bit wet, an ideal time to explore the attic and see what we really have up there! I came across this Dinky Toy Spitfire. I remember when the film 'The Battle of Britain' was released (1969) and Mum and Dad went to see it, they bought both my brother and I one of these Dinky toys. A highlight was that the propellor had a little motor so would spin realistically. I think the only reason I kept the box was because it had some pictures from the film on it, the plane was well played with. However, years later, I reunited the model with its box, which probably makes it worth more - but it's not going anywhere!
