Flower Friday

My blip today is an Amaryllis that was destined for the compost heap. Bought 5 years ago it flowered a few months after purchase but not since then. It has been in the greenhouse under the staging since flowering. I thought it just had lush leaves until last week and the almost overnight it sprouted a coloured bud coming into flower earlier this week. I’ve not known one to flower in July before and so I think it has been reprieved!
