Harp and kora

Just arrived back from a wonderful concert in Stoller Hall, Manchester. A brand new concert hall, which only opened a few months ago and is attached to Chetham's School of Music.

Catrina Finch and Seckou Keith, a wonderful harp and kora collaboration between two superb musicians. We came across the pair by chance a while back and I've been listening to their CD ever since. It was great to get the chance of seeing them again, and in such a brilliant place. This hall was made for music and has the most amazing acoustics - the sound filled the hall.

The blend of sounds, the joy with which they both play and interact with each other, the perfect venue and the enthusiasm of the audience (this was at the interval, the place was virtually full!), made for a mesmerising evening.

Manchester today, London tomorrow, and we've got our passports with us!
