The Lozarithm Lens

Smokey 0937 hr (Friday 21st July 2017)

Today was the last Gardening Friday before Refna disappears for her Summer Holiday commitments but we were joined by the Spotlight Kid who had come up from Dorset to see the house and garden advances since his last visit, and to lend a hand to the gardening.

Afterwards, the three of us enjoyed an  al fresco court yard Filipino lunch at Sampaguita Café in Calne and later the Spotlight Kid and I went to High Penn nature reserve and lake, which I'd never been to before despite it being a mere 10 minute drive away. By then rain had set in and I didn't take any pictures but it was a great find (thanks to Refna for recommending it) to which I shall return.

Earlier in the day I'd seen Smokey asleep on the conservatory windowsill and tried to sneak a picture. Of course he awoke, sat up, looked away and began grooming himself, so this was the only shot I managed.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Patrik Fitzgerald - Safety-pin stuck in my heart (1977)
The latest Mojo was delivered today with a CD on the front entitled I Just Can't Be Happy Today (after the Damned song). From it here's one I remember from listening to John Peel. Patrik Fitzgerald was the new Bob Dylan for 15 minutes.
