Turckheim

We walked through the vineyards and came to the beautiful mediaeval village of Turckheim. All the villages in this region of Alsace have magnificent flowers everywhere. It would appear that every house has window boxes overflowing with red geraniums. It's a wonderful sight.

Very hot again and we were quite exhausted after our eight miles circular walk. Now having a glass of Pinot Gris produced by the wine growers where we are staying.

This evening there is a food and wine festival here - The night of the Grand Crus. I think it will be noisy and quite lively.
