Back Porch Standoff

I was getting some shots of a couple of hungry hummers when I noticed my friend the Green Anole headed, as he usually does this time of morning, to the hummingbird feeder for a sugar water fix. He hesitated, turned and left the scene. He did this three times, strange behavior as he usually just marches right up and takes a sip! Sugar Addict... I finally noticed why he was so hesitant. About ten feet away, displaying like crazy, was this male Brown Anole. After about 15 minutes or so, I left the lizards to their stalemate.        *extra* a cute little male Ruby-throated Hummingbird.
