Early morning chemistry

This morning the youngest Talpid had a great time exploring the thixotropic properties of a mixture of cornflower and water. Good fun!

Thixotropism is the property of some gels of becoming liquid and flowing when stirred or shaken, and then becoming semisolid again at rest.
