Red Spider Lilly

Transplanted several of these over 20 years ago from next to my Grandmother Odell's homeplace. Despite neglect, surrounding vines & groundcover, this solitary beauty has blossomed again following the recent rains.

Red Spider Lilly , also known as Hurricane Lilly. Originally brought to North Carolina from Japan by a member of Commodore Perry's fleet in 1854.
