A Smile for Rachel...

Backblip

After the hours we spent chatting yesterday, Tanya and I didn't have much left to talk about over breakfast this morning.

Hahahahahahaha.....as if! :-))

Unfortunately the weather had taken a turn for the worst so after breakfast we headed into the garden room to continue where we left off yesterday.   David brought us coffee, cake and biscuits and all too soon it 3.30pm and Tanya had to head off to Crieff to visit a school friend she'd lost touch with, but had rediscovered on blip!

Tanya I thoroughly enjoyed your company and hope when you're next in Scotland, we manage to grab longer time together.

Alan headed out with Ashleigh this afternoon to meet up with his pal Rachel and her support worker Jane, to go wheelchair ice skating.  Rachel's mum Janice had checked there was a public session on and that they would be able to get on the ice.

Unfortunately when they got there an unexpected party of 150 had turned up as well as the general public, and they were told it was too crowded to let wheelchairs on the ice.

Hmmmm....having not been there and not knowing the full story I won't get into a rant, but next time they will be there at least half an hour before the public session starts and I will do more than rant if they don't get on the ice.

Instead they went for an explore and ended up in a cafe so got over their disappointment.   After Alan had his dinner I asked him to give me a smile that I could send to Rachel to say thank you for a lovely afternoon.  Couldn't resist blipping his response.  Note the casual, legs crossed pose.  Physio would have a fit, so we'll not tell her ;-))  And bare feet, his footwear of choice (only indoors I should clarify.)

In other news, I received a phone call earlier in the week from the delivery company advising they would be delivering the new sofa for Alan's living room, the sofa for the support worker's room, the chair to match the sofa in the garden room and foot stool that doubles as a coffee table for the garden room, between 7am & 10am on Thursday morning.   The delivery driver then called me this morning asking if they could deliver at 6.00pm today instead!

By 6.30pm all the furniture was delivered and I am now sitting on the new chair in the garden room.  I loved the big, black velvet chair as it's so comfy and I I was worried the new chair would be slightly disappointing but it's fab!  I am so happy!  :-)))
