Kete

I was looking forward to taking some shots at an event  'Colour the Night', featuring dance, music, culture, lights and art which was  scheduled for today/tonight. However a 'significant' weather event has arrived this afternoon and resulted in the event being cancelled.  Such a shame for so many people who have worked so hard to make it a success, but I guess it is winter.  Very heavy rain and winds for the past few hours and are forecast to be with us until the morning. 
This kete was my alternative blip.  A kete is a handwoven basket, usually made from flax.  One of the teachers at school made and gave this one to me when she left.  I feel very privileged to have been given it.
