Nearly missed you!

Today had definitely something autumnal about it. It started overcast and the wind made it feel rather chilly sometimes. I had very little hope of finding something to blip but half way into my walk with one of the dogs from the sanctuary the sun suddenly appeared and highlighted the red berries on a Holly shrub. I hoped that one of the photos I'd taken would make a good entry and it wasn't until I looked at them on the camera that I realised I'd completely missed this hoverfly that was sitting on one of the leaves. Fortunately, it didn't fly away before I was able to get a few shots of it.
