The old Liverpool Airport
The first scheduled flight from Liverpool airport occurred in 1930.
The terminal buildings were/are beautiful art deco buildings, evocative of a different age. During the 1990s the building were converted into a Crown Plaza Hotel. Outside the hotel's entrance/reception area is this beautiful old airplane (from the 20s/30s era, I imagine) (don't ask me, I'm an aspiring "blipper" not an aviator)!
Liverpool now has a new, modern airport. I live about 10 minutes walk away from the new terminal building.
