Ilkley Terraces

Sitting in the lounge at Manchester Airport writing this, the flight to Cork has been delayed, more info at 6.00pm. as to when we might depart! Apparently there's a technical problem with the incoming flight. Oh well it's great to be able to relax and look over my photos from this week away, it feels more like a month, so much has happened, it's been another great little adventure, the wedding in Cambridge and wonderful few days in Yorkshire. I had a leisurely start to the day and bimbled around Ilkley, which is a very attractive town, I love these old terraces of houses built with Millstone Grit.
On the train again to Manchester airport, I've used more public transport this week than in the rest of the year!! I definitely prefer the trains to the buses. Good to know you're not left stranded when there's a cancellation. Earthdreamer has a reputation for leaving things to the last minute when catching public transport, also for leaving things behind, so when we parted ways on the train to Leeds I was not too surprised to see his wallet on the seat! This has been left for him at customer services at Leeds station, hope he gets it okay !!!
We have just had a call to get a voucher for light refreshments, ah well, being looked after again! Although the flight to Cork isn't until 9.30pm, it's going to be a very late night.
