Paradise

We had thunder and lightening for several hours in the early morning - as storms affected the whole of the south-east of England.  First the rain woke me, then the rumbling of the thunder and the sky lighting up with long sequences of lightening.  There are some spectacular pictures of it in the sky above the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth on the BBC website. By 3am the storm subsided and I managed to get back to sleep.

The last few days at work have been busy and quite hard going - urgent pieces of work which have been stressful and challenging - but good in that they have forced me to learn and develop some new relationships and build my confidence in new areas of work.  Today it meant I needed to leave an excellent MIND mental health in the work place training course part way through, but I hope to finish the course next week.

I went out for a walk in the beautiful evening sunshine to soothe my soul and found these long stems of some  kind of climbing plant hanging from the tall trees.
