The death of a Reservoir
Pehaps the title should be birth of a river - the water ends up in the Irish sea via the River Mersey.
This reservoir is scheduled for demolition and landscaping and I am wondering if it may end up as a little bit of rewilding.
This photo was taken during my BTO Winter Thrushes survey walk - I did see some Blackbirds but nothing else this time.
Walking highlight was a territorial dispute between 3 species of raptors. Lots of noise, fast flying and of course the Crows came over the hill like kids in the playground shouting 'fight' and started to pick on a young Kestrel.
