A Beaded Bag

This afternoon Mr MD and I went over to Padiham (where the sun happened to be shining) and paid a visit to Gawthorpe  Hall.   The Hall houses the Rachel Kay-Shuttleworth collection of needlework and embroidery.    Wonderful and intricate work and this bag is one of her pieces.  A stylised rose design beaded bag in blue, red and Ochre c.1910-1920.
