At the end of day two of the congress at the EICC there was a whisky and craft beer tasting for the delegates. A taste of Scotland for them all. I think they said there were people from more than fifty countries attending this week. And the event has been six years in the planning. There were groups from Denmark, Germany and Japan at the reception performing different musical sketches each to promote their case to host in 2023. One group will be starting the process off again once the decision is announced. Strange to think that the decision to come here must have been made around the same time as I was finishing my photography degree at Stevenson College. An institution that no longer exists, subsumed into Edinburgh College.
