Fritillary
A beautiful fritillary butterfly landed on the path in front of me as we strolled slowly around the Common with Louie. Which sort of fritillary I haven't a clue - the photos in our ID book all look identical very similar, and I didn't see its hindwings which, apparently, differ subtly in the different species.
'Twas the final Glendale Festival rehearsal early in the evening, after which I spent ages ordering a banner and some adhesive labels for our small business. This involved producing two lots of artwork which, inevitably, took much longer than anticipated - finished just after 11.00pm. Time for bed...
