It's Tuesday
so it must be hike day. As you can see we started out in fair weather. This is about half a mile in on a seven mile (they are all seven miles - a good day hike distance). Bob is pointing something out to Rick and David (hidden behind Jim). I was too far away to hear what he was saying and the zoom on the camera makes fuzzy images. Does anyone know a good technique for stabilizing a hand held phone/camera? I didn't take the dSLR and later we were hiking in a monsoon rain and dodging lightning so I wouldn't have used it much.
We were making our way from the East Mt Baldy trail-head, through what was Colter reservoir towards Amberon (Ambeerian to old timers) ridge. It's a lovely walk but here are the rest of the images that tell the tale of the rest of the hike in the rain. Then our feet got really wet and cold when we had to ford the west fork of the Little Colorado at the end of our trek.
