Flirty fuchsia

There's a nip in the air, the leaves are falling, the blackberries are squashing, the sunflowers drooping, the swallows gone, the spiders multiplying but - the fuchsia are still fine and flirty in the hedgerows.

A very chilled book club with just five of us present - wine, lemon drizzle cake and wensleydale cheese made things go very smoothly. 'Snowdrops' by AD Miller is our next choice for reading - an enigmatic thriller set in Russia.

Other than that, work is done for the week and a long weekend in the garden beckons! It's rampant and floppy!
