Hillhead Underground Station

Glasgow's Underground Network is being completely refurbished at an estimated cost of nearly £290m.

The project will see all 15 stations redeveloped and the installation of new driverless trains.

The first station to upgraded is Hillhead and the showpiece is a large mural by writer and artist Alasdair Gray.

It features the local area around the station and is approximately 2 meters by 12 meters. This picture is a tiny section of it.
