Grasmere from Nab Scar

We walked the Fairfield horseshoe as a family many moons ago but we didn't do Nab Scar then - towards the end of a long day needing to coax No 2 son down to Grasmere with the lure of cake prevented this.

So, in pursuit of my 214, I did it today with a good friend.  Fab, if extremely hot, day and it is extremely steep.  We then dropped down to Alcock Tarn (see extras) and returned to Rydal via the coffin route.
