In the Tatras
Twelve of us went on the easier walk today. That was 10 of our lot plus 2 others, Audrey and Brian, who are honorary members for the week. They are definitely our sort of people and I think they will come to the festival in October.
The first part of the walk was uphill gradually, through woods. At lunchtime we hit the highest point with great views. From there on we met a lot of people. We descended over 1000 steps for our return coach.
The heavens opened in the afternoon but we dried off quickly afterwards.
We passed a hut where they sell sheep's cheese, the happened upon the shepherd and his granddaughter with the sheep.
