Road works

What if there were no signs? What if you wouldn't know where to go, what to do and how to get further? Today, we all use our mobile phones. Isn't a road work on our map app or on google maps people drive crazy. Why? Why can't they just take time to go from A to B like back in the 90's where barely no one had the possibility to check the road works on their mobile phone/internet? I learned one thing since I live here in the UK (Scotland to be precise): take your time to go from A to B. Have patience when driving, don't rush or get angry. Also, when you are using public transport. (No. They are never on time BUT they bring you from A to B - eventually).
