Morning Light
The heavy rains we had over the past 24 hours were followed by morning clearing: a bit of crispness to the air, a perfectly blue and cloudless sky. There was just time for a quick visit to the Arboretum before work to check on the sunflowers.
This is the part of the Arboretum sometimes used for events such as weddings. The long shadows drew me in. From under the tent, I watched the first golden light kiss the blue-green mountains good morning.
Enchanted moments, stolen in time. Oh, how I wished for another hot cup of coffee and an extra half-hour to enjoy it all, while sitting on one of the benches looking out at the mountains and the trees of my beloved, beautiful central Pennsylvania.
