Under the Cloud Inversion
I have had a lovely day with little 'h'. We went to morning tea with our church friends, then on the way home we stopped by the lake for this photo. When we got home we changed the lounge around, we put the dining room table where the couch was, and the couch where the dining room table was. The room looks much bigger now. In the afternoon we walked 4,000 steps, then I read her some Enid Blyton short stories. When her Mum came and picked her up, I still had another 4,000 steps to do, which I did by walking around town. Now it is time to settle in for the evening.
Blip 1967
Year 1967 was a huge year in NZ. You see it is when we changed from £ s d to $ and c ! They spent months explaining everything on TV with little jingles, which most of us can still sing today! Two dollars to a pound. I must say it was a very easy change on 10th July
There was a gas explosion in the Strongman coal mine near Greymouth, which killed 19 miners.
Free milk in schools was stopped.
Referendum to change bar closing times were extended to 10 p.m.
